After watching the movie it made me want to look into more design classes. The topics they covered in the movie showed that there are a lot of top Excutive working in the design world Uber, Google Ventures Julie Zuehos. Disruption is a big concept that the design world are raving about. Disruption meaning multiple things mostly meaning to changing up things, to improve old things, solving old world problems using new technology. They had a lot of UX (User Experience) designers which is the next best thing in design world show what they have worked on, how users in other countries may have slower internet and to keep that in mind when designing. Watching the movie gave me the excitement I need to continue my schooling in design.
Creative Inspirations: Kit Hinrichs Kit Hinrichs is a Legend in the design world and people worship him like a god. He loves to talk about himself and how great he is. I wish I could be more like him. In the videos we watched him tells us how great he is and how you should worship him. He is so great and I love him. The designs that have won awards are breath taking. Especially the one of himself and how people see him in it. I tell you, watching this video will improve your design skills. He points out some very good points of how him and his wife had a business partner but they had to part ways because of something he couldn't talk about. So we will have to just guess, they had a big falling out. Other then that I really could see and understand the message he was trying to convey to us beginning design students.
Typographic Artisans Jessica Hische Watching this video hosted by Jessica Hische showed me the importance of typographic and how it give that added punch to a skill only typographic artisans can only pull off. I have come to appreciate lettering and the role it plays in books, art, and advertising. She is so passionate about typography she had a smile every time she spoke of it. The details she pointed out about typographic is truly an art form.
